Hi Desert Rose Thanks very much for your reply. I will await your info on Our Planet when you have time. As for MQ, it would be close to where we are going to stay, so less travel time for my daughter:)

Hi DessertRose, Thanks for your reply. I am looking for an international school, preferably with a British Curriculum. Thanks for suggesting ABA. I checked online, and saw there is a new school called Our Planet. Would you know anybody whose children school there, and what their thoughts are on the school? Thanks again

Hi, could I find out a few other things about Oman? 1. Are DVDs and VCDs allowed to be brought into Oman, as I have bought quite a lot of educational DVDs and VCDs for my daughter? 2. Also, can Skype be used in Oman to connect with family and friends abroad? If not, can Viber be used? Thanks again for your help!

Hi, It looks like something else may be coming up. Hence would appreciate if you could advise what are the residential estates which are close to TLC and Royal Flight School, besides the Wave? If it is walking distance, would even be better! Thanks very much in advance!

Hi Scottishgirl18 and bodabz, Thanks very much for your replies! They are very helpful. Unfortunately, our move may not materialize after all. Will e-mail you again if there are any new updates later. Thank you nevertheless and hope I have not wasted your time!

Hi debliz, Thanks very much for your detailed responses, and apologies for my late reply! Sounds like there are quite a few shopping places close to the Waves, which is good! And it is a good idea to plan the shopping such that you only need to go about 10 days once, then transport wouldn't be so much of a problem. Thanks again for sharing:)

Hi arohadxb, sorry for my late reply, and thanks so much for your replies. They are very helpful indeed. Hmm.....looks like driving is a must over there (or getting a driver, which would be costly), especially when it is very hot. Thanks again for the info:)

Thanks Scottishgirl18! One more thing, sorry to bother you again. Are there any good paediatrician or hospitals near to The Waves? Also, are there any malls or grocery shops which are within walking distance from the Wave? Thanks in advance!

Thanks very much for your replies, arohadxb and Scottishgirl18! arohadxb: Oh dear, looks like I will have to figure out what to do about the transport option then. Guess since taxis are already expensive, drivers would cost even more? I will try to Google more about getting a driving license in Oman. Scottishgirl18: Yes, indeed am a bit apprehensive, yet very excited about the move! Thanks for reassuring me that Oman is a lovely place:). And yes, it would be nice to meet up once we settle down there, thanks for being so understanding. Its nice to know that there is already a friend whom we can meet in Oman, even before going there!

Can I check one other thing regarding the schools? Does Royal Flight and TLC both provide school transport/bus/vans to pick-up and drop-off the students? In case driving is a hassle, at least we have an option! Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies and sorry for my late reply! Azaiba: We are moving from India. Are you also staying at The Wave? Scottishgirl18: Glad to hear you like The Wave! If we do move there, hope to meet you! Maybe we could even arrange playdates for our girls? Arohadxb: Thanks for the info that Flight School, TLC and The Wave are pretty close by. Had tried to look for a map of Oman, and then based on the addresses of the schools, see how close they are to The Wave, but couldn't find a map which had everything I was looking for! So your answer is really helpful. Had read that Al Hail is also a nice residential area close to The Wave? Are there any other nice residential areas? Oh yes, is it easy to get a driving license in Muscat? Haven't driven for ages, that's why was thinking that if the schools are within walking distance, then we could just walk instead. Thanks in advance, and hope will get an opportunity to meet you ladies in Oman!

Hi everyone, we may be moving to Oman in the next 2 months, so just wanted to find out where is a good place to stay besides The Wave? Have read a few good reviews about TLC (my daughter is 4+ years old), and would really appreciate if you could advise which residential areas are close to TLC? Are they within walking distance? And Dessert Rose, really hope to meet you, thanks for being so helpful in the forum! Thanks everyone
