If you want to keep your family together and Cedars is your only option then I would seriously consider enrolling them there. People I have talked to, who have sent their kids there until they were off the wait list at other schools have said their kids have enjoyed it. If your kids were older like 13-16 year olds then I would suggest to stay in Jamaica until there was a space available as school work pressure is a lot harder than when they're 6 & 10 years old

I can recommend the pulmonary specialist at Al Ahli hospital called Dr Mann Jamal. My daughter sees him once a month since arriving in Doha 4 months ago as she has chronic asthma. He has been amazing, for the first time in 2 years she is off her steroids and is the healthiest we have ever seen her in years. He is thorough and easy to understand. Sorry I don't have a phone number for him but you might be able to find it on the hospital website.

Looking at replacing my wedding ring so wondered if anyone has purchased 1 or 2 carat diamond rings here in Qatar or is it better to go to Dubai instead. Would love to hear where you have or prefer (Dubai or Doha). Thanks

Does anyone know whether the Garden Tour has been. It was in the events link before where you could go around looking at peoples gardens in Doha.

If you are talking about Cambridge I would try Parkhouse, otherwise I would look at the link to the side under Schools.

My husband had to get his done before arriving in Doha. You have to get a notary public (lawyer) to notorize an original copy of your degree, Once that is done you have to send it to Internal Affairs in Wellington to get it certified. follow this link for more info"......( http://www.dia.govt.nz/Services-Document-Authentication-Index?OpenDocument ). Also there isn't a Qatar embassy in NZ, we had to send all his documents to the nearest one which was in Jakarta, Indonesia!! Since you are already in Doha you can just get whoever hires you (sponsor) to do it. The whole process took about 2 weeks. Good luck!!

That's ok LaLaLa it's a forum after all. I would be asking the same thing if it was someone else but I usually explain it all when I know a glass of wine is to follow!! 1 more year and then that's it for me!! I have applied online at Parkhouse and hopefully will go and see if I can get an appointment to visit. Fingers crossed:-) if all else fails I guess I will be posting asking for tutors!

Hi Lalala Our kids have done 2 years at boarding school already, another 2 years at a private school and to save being left behind again they decided to come with us. Its our 3rd country in 2 years. One of our daughters has actually graduated already but wants to do a few more papers before going back for University. Its never easy either way to move with or without your kids. We chose the hard way but probably the best for our family and just trying to make the most of hard situation. Thanks for your input though.... we have tried Doha College who refuse to accept them in Year 13 until the new School term starts. Plus they only do Edexcel.

Can I ask..... we are planning a few trips out in the next 2 months and our family visa has just come through. They have sent us a copy of it via email and said we could print it out and use on re-entering. My question is can we do this a couple of times on entering (use the printed copy) as Im too scared to hand in our passports just in case we dont see them in time for our trips.

Oh kiwispiers.... This Kiwi girl has never been clever enough to make custard from scratch! My kids were wanting a trifle like their nan makes which includes custard on Christmas Day. Of course my one will never match hers but hey a trifle is a trifle to me! Would love to know your easy recipe if you're will to share:-)

I was told last week by a friend that they were getting in ham before Christmas ! I think you can ring QDC and ask if anything new has arrived.
