Hi there, Maybe we are bit late in our planning, but we (family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 8y old)) started now planning our Dec holiday. We are looking on google, but is so difficult to know if what you see is what you get ..I know it is all a bit vague, but we are focusing now on Vietnam, Thailand or Bali. Can anyone recommend accommodation at these places? Preferably, we would like to rent a beachhouse (or not too far away from a beach) with 2 bedrooms and private swimmingpool, but sometimes you can have that as well in a resort type stay (so that you even have the luxury of not to cook yourself..haha). Anyone has a tip? Thanks a lot!

DEWA, Phuket, Thailand. We loved it there. Fabulous safe beach across the road.

Hi Salamander, We own two villas in Bali. The bigger one is rented out over xmas but the smaller one (2 bedrooms & pool) is still available. I can send you info, if you are interested! We stayed at the Anantara Phuket Villas in a 2 bed pool villa. It had a lovely small pool as well as being next to the hotel's main pool and kid's club. The room included afternoon drinks and snacks and has nice outdoor seating area. The resort has a small shopping area next to it with supermarket and cafes/pub and is about 15 mins from the airport. Great, lush resort! The JW Marriott is next door and has a good few restaurants to choose from. Alternatively, you could stay at the Anantara Vacation Club which is more family orientated....
