Hi All,
I am new to the group. I have worked abroad before and looking to go again the future and considering PNG. Would love to hear anyone's experience, as a woman, living and working in PNG as an expat? I have two little people as well that would obviously be coming with me.

Hi ! I have lived and worked in PNG, more precisely in Western Province, around Kiunga and surrounding remote villages. My partner worked for an Australian organisation helping with training local health workers and I helped with logistics and thought as a volunteer in a small centre for kids from Callan Services (children living with disability) . - this was 2 years ago when I was 27 - great experience, never felt unsafe except when we were in big cities . Unsafe feeling went away very quickly there because locals really do look out for you . As a Caucasian woman I stood out a lot there but everyone was so kind and very protective because they knew people could do bad things. - absolutely gorgeous country, Where would you plan on living? Western province is very remote (no roads and most villages no running water or electricity). Other regions are wealthier . - we met some families living there with their family (some worked for MAF flight services) and that seemed to work well Let me know if you have any more questions . Very kind regards, Fien
