Whether you're a charitable individual who has always given to charities, volunteered when needed and offered help and assistance every so often, or whether you're a new expat living in Malaysia seeking to give back to your new home... We have the list for you! 

There are so many ways you can show your support and help out across Malaysia, and so we've created our list of charities in Malaysia for you to keep and use. The list also includes non-profit organisations that you may support.

Animals 

Malaysian National Animal Welfare Foundation (MNAWF)
Formed in 1998, the foundation aims to promote a caring Malaysian society and generate awareness and responsibility of all residents in Malaysia on animal welfare.

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)
SPCA Selangor is an animal welfare organisation that aims to protect defenseless animals and to alleviate their suffering. They run a number of iniatives, including cruelty reports, humane education, animal caregiving and a low-cost spa/neuter clinic.

Child Information, Learning and Development Centre (CHILD) 
Formed to serve the young who make up more than fifty per cent of the population of Malaysia.

Childrens Protection Society (CPS)
Founded in 1992, the Children's Protection Society (CPS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that caters to the needs of neglected and/or abandoned children in Penang.

Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children's Association of Johor
Dedicated to providing the best facilities and services (therapy and health) for special needs children living in Johor and surrounding areas, with the aim of achieving productive, fulfilling and happy lives.

As an association of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, P.S. The Children envision a world that upholds the rights and dignity of every child where every child is protected from sexual abuse and exploitation.

Sarawak Children's Cancer Society (SCCS)
Established for the relief and care of Malaysian children suffering from cancer and their families, irrespective of race, religion and creed; and the advanvement of research and public education in the prevention, control, diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer.

Disabilities

Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children's Association of Johor
Dedicated to providing the best facilities and services (therapy and health) for special needs children living in Johor and surrounding areas, with the aim of achieving productive, fulfilling and happy lives.

Society of the Disabled Persons Penang (SDPP)
SDPP is a self-help organisation run by disabled persons. Based in Penang, Malaysia, they are a multi-ethnic, multi-religion group, with strong representation from women with disabilities. They believe in rights and not charity, and seek dignity not sympathy.

Asia Pacific Association of Forestry Research Institutions (APAFRI)
An independent non-profit body, which aims to enhance research and technology development capabilities in support of conservation and management of forest resources in Asia-Pacific region.

Centre for Environment, Technology & Development, Malaysia (CETDEM)
An independent, non-profit, training, research, consultancy, referral and development organisation, committed to improving environmental quality through the appropriate use of technology and sustainable development.

Global Environment Centre
Established in 1998 to work on environmental issues of global importance. The mission is to support the protection of the environment and sustainable use of the natural resources to meet local, regional and global needs.

Malaysian Nature Society (MNS)
For Malaysia's natural heritage and rich biological diversity to be effectively protected, managed and conserved for the benefit and aprpeciation of all Malaysians.

A non-profit, international foundation dedicated to preserving the five rhinoceros species in their natural habitats.

Marine Research Foundation (MRF)
The MRF is a non-profit reasearch foundation based in Sabah, Malaysia and was set up to further the understanding of marine ecosystems and functions, and conserve the abundance and diversity of marine flora and fauna through research, conversation and education activities.

Penang Heritage Trust
The Penang Heritage Trust is a registered tax-exempty, non-governmental organisation based in Penang. Their objective is to promote the conservation of Penang's heritage, and to foster cultural education about the history and heritage of Penang.

Health

National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM)
The NCSM was born in 1966, and is the first not-for-profit cancer organisation in Malaysia that provides education, care and support services for people affected by cancer.

National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF)
The NKF strives to raise the standards of care provided to patients with kidney failure, and to those who are suffering from various kidney-related diseases.

PT Foundation
Previously known as Pink Triangle Sdn Bhd, PT Foundation is a community-based, voluntary non-profit organisation providing HIV/AIDS education, prevention, care and support programmes, sexual health and empowerment programmes for vulnerable communities in Malaysia.
