Born and inspired from her personal experiences, Lissa Rogers hopes to provide women with the things they really need through the most difficult time of their lives. The birth of Not Alone follows her own experience as a breast cancer patient in 2014, during which she struggled to hang onto her confidence, her self-esteem and any form of comfort throughout her treatment.

As a result, Lissa is extremely passionate in providing women - with all forms of cancer - easy access to recovery products, style options and solutions that are practical, useful and comfortable. It was from this passion that she founded Not Alone.

Through her own treatment, she was able to identify a lack of useful items for cancer patients, and those facing surgery. This lack of items included gifts. And while flowers and chocolate may hold and signify lovely sentiments when given from friends and family, they aren't practical. And it is this gap that Lissa wishes to fulfill with Not Alone.

After all, feeling better by receiving great, useful and healthy products means healing faster!

What gifts and products does Not Alone provide?

For anyone who wishes to gift a close friend or family during their treatment or pre-post op experiences will find useful products that have been especially chosen to ease the effects of treatment, and to help make them feel good.

Not Alone offers a stylish range of thoughtful gifts, presented in 'Healing Hampers' such as 'Beauty Despite Cancer', 'Hug in a Box', and 'Refreshingly Pure'... These are only three hampers out of a range of twelve that cater for all types of comfort zones, individuals and age groups.

For example, the 'Beauty Despite Cancer' range includes three stylish beanies in various colours and prints that keep your head warm while sleeping, and can be worn under a wig to stop the scalp from itching. This is a particularly thoughtful gift for individuals undergoing chemotherapy and alopecia sufferers.

'Hug in a Box' is a gift set made up of items that help to heal and soothe side affects to chemotherapy; for example a cotton cosy beanie, lip balm, nausea ginger drops and nail oil... All of which help to make chemotherapy that little bit more comfortable. The lip balm has no parabens or sulphates and is great for dry lips, the ginger drops help to ease a queasy tummy and combat dry mouth, and the nail oil helps to protect cuticles from becoming brittle and discoloured during treatment.

And this is what makes Not Alone so beautifully different from any other gift... Each item is carefully picked and thought about by Lissa to ensure any recipient of each hamper finds comfort and actual usefulness in them. The health and requirements of cancer patients and others are always considered as each item is picked.

The support that Not Alone provides

A gift from Not Alone that you may give to your friend, a family member, a colleague or loved one offers not only physical, but emotional support to any patient, showing them that you understand. A cancer patient - or any hospital patient - may experience trauma on so many levels, and a gift such as these will assist both their body and spirit.

No one should have to face cancer alone.
Now, no one has to. Not alone...

So if you are looking for the perfect gift for someone newly diagnosed, just starting treatment or celebrating remission... Choose an alternative to flowers and chocolates, and opt for practical, pretty, pampering hand-chosen gifts that are useful for cancer patients and others recovering from surgery.

Why the colour green?

The colour green relates to the heart chakra, which is also associated to the breasts. Green is also the original colour of nature and is reassuring, soothing and elegant, and it is the colour for balance and growth.

Additionally, each hamper is thoughtfully packaged in a pillow-box package, which depicts a sense of comfort... Which goes to show that thoughtfulness has been a huge driving force behind Not Alone from the beginning.

Lissa says...

"For friends and family it can be a daunting task to know what a patient really needs... What better way than to gift your friend or loved one with useful products to ease the effects ot treatment and make them feel good."
