Really want to tuck in to some modern Indian culinary delite's then do visit Indego at Grosvenor House...

Meat eaters delight is Kempenski's Bukhara...but it's in Ajman though but for a vegetarian like me...their tandoor options are no less ;O)

Biryani lovers head to Ashiana if you are ready to brave the Diera traffic... I cab it!! Sheraton Dubai Creek &towers!

Antique Bazaar if you like really spicy curries and Dal Makhani...yummmy!!! Four point Sheraton....B Dubai...

And close to New Dubai community people.... our own Copper Chimney ... all their curries... Butter chicken, Malai Panner, Tandoors, are to die for...

Even though we cook Indian food at home but who wudn't like to go out for fine dining...barring the tamps ;O)

And do they have a sink in the corner for those of us who eat w/ our hands? That's the mark of a real ethnic place...

It's in Mall of the Emirates gleeky not on the pavement in karama!!!!!!! You do get some nice warm hand wipes though that looked a bit like a tampon!!!!

All you had to say was "hand wipes" -- as that is the mark of an upscale ethnic place. I like it...

LOL! It's very upmarket but no alcohol.......

Well, they have to pay for the hand wipes somehow...

The best of any type of food is made at home but....... sometimes you want somebody else to cook it and that's where the phenomena that is 'the restaurant' comes in. And, no matter how much care and attention I put into cooking a meal, I never provide tampon shaped warm hand wipes!

LOL Thats true! When I have the urge not to cook, we definitely go out, but very very occasionly desi food. We have it at home already so, didn't mean to offend anyone.

haha well I didn't mean to offend you, I do eat other kinds of food out. You are welcome anytime at my place, don't have to pay, bring coffee and cookies.

LOL well that's fine for you, but not for the many people who don't know how to cook it and want to enjoy eating out.

However, for me without a doubt the bext Indian in Dubai has been and still is Ravi's in Satwa - cheap as chips and the food is brilliant.

Ravi's is not really Indian, more Pakistani cuisine. But then I'm splitting hairs.

Oh at last! Asha's has just opened in Mall of the Emirates and I have to say we had the best ever indian meal there yesterday. It's a soft opening so the full menu is not yet available but the service was outstanding, the waiting staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes, the food was divine and I give it my award for the best indian food I've had here in Dubai (and boy I have tried many many places in the search for the best!).
