This isn't just any regular brunch spot in Palm Jumeirah.
At Laguna Beach Taverna and Lounge, weekend brunches get reimagined with a Mediterranean-inspired twist, set in their picturesque beach lounge and restaurant at Sofitel Dubai the Palm.
Available every Saturday afternoon from 1PM until 4PM, the Taverna Brunch is nothing short of extraordinary. The European summer getaway theme is immaculate, the service team is lovely as they are efficient, and the brunch menu is a joyful riot of flavours and textures.
The Venue
The stunning Laguna Beach Taverna and Lounge is the location for this Mediterranean brunch, combining a chic blend of Ancient Greek agora and French Riviera vibes.
The restaurant is perfectly situated on the beach overlooking the Arabian Gulf and with gorgeous views of Palm Jumeirah.
All through the afternoon there was a DJ playing a selection of chilled out vibes and a fabulous dance troupe providing great entertainment.
The Food
Prepare to be surprised and delighted by dish after spectacular dish. The starters are a sharing platter inclusive of fresh Dibba Bay oysters, an exquisite shrimp cocktail, and a seafood salad with olives.
Every item in their menu is a winner, but two standout dishes that we loved which were fresh and perfect for a lovely sunny day were the Merguez and pan-seared Greek feta cheese.
We opted for the crispy yet fork-tender grilled sea bream and chicken gyros for our mains, bursting with rich Mediterranean flavours. Both were extremely tasty and were complemented by the potato salad and baked spinach.

For the perfect finale to this glorious afternoon of outstanding food, we had the Taste of Taverna, which included a fantastic chocolate namelaka, lemon olive cake, basque cheesecake, and a pavlova - all presented beautifully.
