If you’re craving fish, lobsters, sushi, and more with a unique Latin-Asian twist, then this popular, award-winning seafood restaurant in Dubai will not disappoint.
The Moana Seafood Restaurant, located at the swanky Sofitel Dubai The Palm, offers a delicious fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine served up by master chefs trained in Latin America and Asia.
We had the opportunity to try their limited-time special summer menu, and here's why you shouldn't miss out!
The Venue
This beautifully designed restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Eat the al fresco way in their pergola-styled outdoor terrace with lovely views of the resort, or dine indoors in Moana's refreshing turquoise interiors filled with natural light.
Not only is the space itself stunning, but the delicate plates of mouth-watering seafood and other dishes don't falter when it comes to looks, either.
The Food
The summer menu offers a wide selection of Moana’s classic dishes. We started our dinner with the Caesar salad which was stacked high with romaine lettuce and croutons, offering plenty of visual appeal and tasted fantastic.
Our mains were the seared salmon with bok choy, pickled mustard, dashi consommé, and shiitake mushrooms which were stunningly presented. The aroma of the consommé that our fantastic waitress magnificently poured over added to the artistry of the dish.
For dessert, we had Moana's signature sweet treat; the Moana Magnum - a mango Chantilly, passion cremeux, white chocolate whipped ganache that provided a surprisingly light and refreshing way to end the meal.
Our evening at Moana was perfect; a great setting, top quality seafood food, and excellent service that is worth checking out while this unmissable summer promotion is running.
While the restaurant prides itself as a seafood joint, there are also vegetarian and gluten-free dishes available on their menu. A dedicated children's menu can be provided for little ones, so we recommend bringing the family along.
