Feedback for bracey:

We had the assessment a couple of weeks ago - which she passed lol! There was no playtime though, but she was introduced to 2 very friendy laid back dogs to see how she reacts - one large and one small. I do think an assessment is a good idea, especially here with so many horribly trained/behaved dogs.

First proper platime there today! She is now out for the count in her crate having a well deserved nap.She had her first playtime today for a few hours.

I watched as they introduced her into the other dogs - it was done gradually and dogs brought back inside one by one so she could get used to them.

She has had a great time and I'm definitely going to take her back - they told me she got on really well and knew when to back off as a puppy.

The place is split into zones - and time outs are instigated for dogs when necessary.

We're booked in for training too in a couple of weeks.

I'd say give it a go again - maybe staff have changed since you were last there. Hope that helps anyway.

it looks so good on paper, but so do a lot of things. Will go with an open mind and a waggy-tailed puppy and see what happens!

Please report back as i am interested to know your thoughts on whether it has improved. I went about 10 months ago when i first got my dog.

sorry cant help with the training but i did visit them a while ago with my dog and i have to say i was less than impressed. We had an appointment and were kept waiting for half an hour, it was very disorganised....they charge a fee for them to 'assess' your dog and all they told me was my dog was great with other dogs, very friendly and responded well to food all for AED 250!!!! Well i could have told them that before we started. After this i wasn't inclined to try any of their services....

theve told me this is 100aed and includes time in the park too so don't mind on this basis.

Will see what happens!

AED 100 is better i guess but i honestly felt cheated afterwards....the guy before me wasnt impressed either and left without paying...
I was disappointed with the dog park as well. Maybe i just expected too much..... hope you have a better experience than me

I know what to do Freckly as we had a lab before, but want to do some group training/socialisation with her too.

ETA: maybe I ought to be asking about classes for training the rest of the family lol as it's they who snooker all my efforts generally!

Ah ok, yeah mixing with the others is a good idea.

Yeah its totally other ppl who ruin the best trained dog. My inlaws came to stay and i specifically told them, he isnt allowed treats or to be fed from the table etc. Sure after 1 day thats what they were doing! Made me so annoyed cos once they left, he was begging at the table and had to 'retrain' him so to speak.
The joys!!

No sorry, havent heard anyting.

Would you attempt to train him yourself?

My hubbie is great at training and we just got another little monster to add to the brood, so hubbie is on the job of training again!!
Food rewards (bribes) always seem to work with my dogs, both past and present.
