This happened tous, but we saw the parents flying around, we got a plastic box, tried not to touch the bird to much and wore gloves, put it inside and placed it high up in a tree we watched the parents feed it for about a week then they were fine and flew by themselves! Mother natures cruel sometimes.good luck

We found an injured baby bird a year or so ago, and we took it to Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic. They acted like this was something that happens all the time (not sure if it actually does) - but they were really kind about it, but said that the bird was really young and they weren't sure it it would make it, but they would have the techs in the back feed it with a dropper and would hope for the best. I am assuming most vets would do the same thing? At least if they can't help it live, they can help it from suffering.

Horrible situation to be in... for you and the poor bird! Here's hoping that someone else on here might know of somewhere you can take it but to the best of my knowledge, the poor little thing doesn't stand much of a chance if it's wounded enough to not be able to fly. I doubt it will eat even if you try giving it some grain. Maybe the only chance is try to keep it in as large a cage as possible, outdoors and see if it heals in a couple of days or so. Sometimes it can be that although they look in a really bad way, they actually mend very fast. Generally, sadly, they don't recover.
Good luck.

Our cat brought in a bird this evening. I wasn't home when it happened, but DH put the bird in a box with blankets and water in the laundry. I can't see that the bird is bleeding, but it's very little and shaking. What should I do?? I feel that it's cruel to put it outside and be at risk of attack from another cat. But the bird is obviously wild and I'm not sure if I should take it to the vet or not?? Sorry, this probably sounds silly but I feel so bad for the poor little thing.
