The 'free' minutes this is a bit of a crock... when you read the fine print, you only get to use the free minutes once your Wasel balance reaches zero. So they're kinda not free, IYKWIM.... pain in the butt as I takes ages to use up my balance. Free minutes should be just that... you get that many before they start charging. Sneaks!

You will still be able to view it - you would just need to pay for the internet usage to do so.

ETA - Etisalat will charge you for internet usage also.

So, what you're telling me is that the plan that I've had with du for over a year -- and which was never labeled a "free promo" -- is now suddenly changed to something less which does not include any data package, although it did previously?
Hmmm ....
That might be understandable if I'd signed up six weeks ago under a special promo. Makes no sense the way it's being presented to me.

If you previously paid for a data package, then you will still have a data package.

What they are saying is that to access facebook, they have not been taking credit for that data and that they will be henceforth.

Its possible that it was a promo or free offer that they have put a clause that it is subject to change or cancellation at their discretion. You would have to check your fine print.

I'm with Etisalat and was constantly texted to tell me that i had 74 free international minutes. So i called my dad's landline yesterday for twenty minutes, came off the phone and it wiped out about 55aed of credit!

Check the terms and conditions of Everything and expect the unexpected!

Just received a text on my mobile from du telling me that as of the 13th their "FREE FB browsing promotion will end" and that to continue to be able to access FB and other websites I will have to sign up for one of their "many data bundles."
Am I missing something? Surely I must be ....
I've been using du on my mobile since moving here just over a year ago. Was never aware of any 'free browsing promo' -- a 12 month plus promo?!

I'll be switching to Etisalat in a heartbeat if I am unable to access internet as I've been doing since I moved here.

This just makes no sense. I can't be the only one getting this text. Perhaps someone can explain this to me.
