Yvette… arrived in Abu Dhabi in August and couldn’t wait for the first coffee morning ! I arrived quite apprehensive not knowing what to expect as i had worked full time for nearly 30 years in the UK . But I must say it was the start of something that has helped me settle in to the new life here! I have met some lovely people and am really good friends with some i met on that very first day. I would advise everyone to give it a go as there is always someone there that will know answers to your many questions and it also make you realise that everyone is in the same boat when they arrive .

Jayne.. Expat woman is the essential 'port of call' for all newbies to Abu Dhabi.  Joyce makes you so welcome and is the person to ask for any information and if she doesn't know then she will know somebody who does.  You will meet lots of ladies from all over the world and hopefully build lasting friendships and as proof, our group of expat woman are off to ladies night tonight!

Michelle… The coffee morning run by Joyce at Costa Coffee is a great way to meet people and make friends when you are new to Abu Dhabi. Joyce is very welcoming and also knowledgeable about whats what in the city and if she doesn’t know she knows someone who does. I have met lots of great people and although the thought of turning up on your own can be daunting just remember all the ladies there were in that position once. I would highly recommend going along and enjoy your new friends and life in Abu Dhabi

Andrea Seddon... The coffee morning at Costa  Coffee is a fantastic place to meet new friends. Upon arriving was greeted by Joyce and made to feel very welcome, she took time to introduce me to other people particularly those from North America. I attended every Wednesday coffee morning for at least 6 months, during that time I met many women from all over the world. I have made some lasting friendships. Unfortunately there is only so much time in a week and I have other activities now on Wednesday mornings. It is a brilliant place to find out local information, any expected problems and meet people. I always suggest it to anyone new in Abu Dhabi, I tell them don't be afraid everyone's been the newbie and Joyce will make you welcome. 

Deena… Coffee mornings are great at Costas and I wouldn't have enjoyed Abu Dhabi half as much if it wasn't for the women I've met there. I would say if you still aren't sure after one coffee morning, make the effort to go again because sometimes you might sit next to someone who you don't click with and it may taint your judgement.
 

"The new coffee mornings in Abu Dhabi, organised by EW and hosted by the wonderfully organised, welcoming and knowledgeable Joyce, have been a great way to start the new season in AD. I've already met great new friends through the group , who we continue to see socially with our partners, and it's a lovely way to spend a couple of hours chatting before hitting the Mall for a mooch.
