I totally sympathise; I had a relative visit me last year and the snoring drove me crazy! I then did a LOT of research. Is your husband overweight? Snoring can sometimes be a symptom of other health issues, it might be worth consulting an ENT specialist for another opinion. Losing weight helps, and so does avoiding alcohol and smoking. you could invest in a humidifier - dry air affects the way we breathe. Sleeping on your back is the worst culprit! Good luck, I resorted to wearing ear-plugs eventually.

You may want to avoid cow's milk because it seems to trigger/cause more health problems than ever before (unsure if this is because of the quality of the milk, or the processes it goes through...). And well done for breastfeeding for so long!

From the doctors there I've heard good things about Dr. Deemah Salem and Dr. Alsaraj, so I think you should be alright :)

I've seen Aziza Zubeidi at the osteopathic health centre for neck pain and headaches and she picked up on my TMJ issue right away. She's provided a lot of relief but constantly reminds me that if the underlying issues aren't addressed and managed by myself (misaligned teeth, stress etc.) then the problem won't really go away permanently. I've since recommended her to so many people who've not been disappointed. If she can't help you with her treatment at least she'll direct you to someone who can.

These guys are great for such cases: www.energetic-panacea.com Hope all goes well. Hilke (the owner) is the only person in Dubai who treats animals using homeopathic remedies, I think.. Careful with strays though. Sometimes they just haven't been socialized enough and tend to remain a bit feral.

Castor Oil massaged into the scalp is a natural remedy which promotes new hair growth. Agreed :-) It needs to be done religiously though, and give it a few months to start working.

Sorry to hear that your husband is struggling to get work, I find myself agreeing with you; a Pakistani passport may be a (if not the) stumbling block. There's a lot of racism here that seems to be the acceptable norm, sadly. He might be better off applying in person (as in actually turning up at clinics/hospitals and asking to meet the manager) as from what I have heard this does make a difference. Even if they are not hiring at the time they'll remember him and are more likely to pass his details to anybody who may be interested. Good luck!

Hi Alice08 I've tried caster oil and bio oil and they've kind of helped.. A friend used a vitamin A and E oil and said it worked wonders. At the end of the day I feel it's unrealistic to think stretch marks can disappear completely, different people have different results, seems to be genetic :(

Hi 5hy, I went the Invisalign route - best decision I made. You don't feel self conscious at all unlike regular braces. But it's not suitable for everyone, is more expensive and does take longer. I now have a wire retainer behind the lower front teeth and, like FairyDust said, I forget they're there :)

Hi Sash24, You might want to see a doctor or at least a nutrition specialist for some blood tests before you blame your weight loss on stress (an overactive thyroid, for example, can do the same thing). Hopefully all you'll need is some advice and a new eating program :-)

I saw Dr. Thomas Berger at Healthbay and he was really good. Most dermatologists in Dubai tend to be very cosmetic-oriented but he was practical and realistic about my issues and understood that I wasn't looking for perfection or celebrity-like skin! Good luck!
