Meeva Mathew is super. Google and find her on facebook. She will consult with you as to what you want and then get it all and put it in place including having curtains made.
Thanks?

Hi.Fatimasaq if you need to do Curtains,Blinds,Carpets and Sofa Upholstery work than contact to ALi 0555528260.He is very professional in these fields.i used him so many times, very commited perso...
Thanks I will keep it in my list. Actually I was looking for someone who would help me in the preparation of the new house. Some like Redecore (got to know about them thru google). I don't know whether I should do it myself or hire someone to take care of it. I need to mention that I have three special needs children so I want everything ready to move in.

I want to know about any airline travelling to Saudi Arabia and India. One 14 year old with epilepsy. But doesn't particularly need a wheelchair in the airplane. We just use a wheelchair when there's a lot of walking around. One 12year-old who is bedridden and tubefed. Searching online I couldn't find Here. So I wondered how people with severe disabilities travel. Please no insensitive comments about why they need to travel. My kids were very much normal and independent before the regression took place and they loved the trill of flying.

Thankyou dolleymadison, Livelytrish, halfmoon for your kind words. Home schooling was in fact my first choice for both my kids and then my DS started having seizures in November 2011. He was going to school ,independent to a degree that he could sleepover with his siblings at their cousin or friends home. That all changed and same time last year he has become nonverbal too. so basically I don't have the environment for home schooling for my DD. SNF has a great programme where they give basic education so they retain what they have learnt and give them vocational and basic training so the students are self reliant, independent....but the minimum age to join is 14yrs. My DD IS 11yrs and I don't want anymore damage. Keep me in your Prayers Ladies.

Hello Ladies thankyou all for your replies. As I was posting late at night there were a few things that I have missed. Important things actually. my DD also has Neimann Pick C But Alhamdulillah unlike my son she is showing no symptoms other than being slow at school. Due to her difficuulties in school as usually conversations in school among peer will be mostly in regard to school stuff and she cannot 'fit' in. I have seen her social skill decline so much so that her social skill is now of a grade 2 child ( my DD who is in grade 1 is better in this area) It was NOT like this before. She was a leader among children. she could get new kids to relax, communicate with older children, be helpful and understanding with the younger ones. Now ........she is just quite and usually has limited ideas in group playing and cannot keep up. I know its a regressive disease but I feel her current situation is speeding up the process. I had her assessed by Dr Onita Nakra ....twice. Gave the suggestion in school. But Unfortunately here in Sharjah....it seems we have to do all the paperwork regarding getting permission for exemption for certain subjects and modified papers and such. When my DS conditioned started to get worse we were helped by a very good social worker in Latifa Hospital. she did all the talking and getting in touch with the department and also schools and centers in Sharjah. But unfortunately she was transfered and the current one is not as proactive. My going around is difficult as my DS is immobile, has to be tube fed every three hours, has lost his speech..... My husband has already taken enough time off from work due to hospital visits. Plus I don't have money to throw around for therapies, support teachers,.... Wish for some clear directions Insha Allah.

Fatimasaq, you asked in a past post about Nienmann Picks and I'm wondering if this is what your son has been diagnosed with. I'm not sure if you have come across these websites, they may be of help and they have forum facilities that may be of some support and help with your questions better than here. (apologies if this is not the case) http://www.niemann-pick.org.uk/ http://www.niemannpick.org.uk/about_us/about_us.html http://www.nnpdf.org/ I can find very little as far as support for sick children here in the UAE, but there must be something, or at least i hope so. Emirates nursing sounds a good place to start with helping you and they may or your doctors know more re support groups to help you. I wish you all the strength in the world during this very difficult time. You're right. and I am already following the websites and many more. Thank you for taking time to respond and your kind words and wishes. Alhamdulillah as far as support from the doctors and my family is concerned I am blessed. But they can only do so much. As you can see in the websites you mentioned the families in UK and US have far more support where nursing and such is concerned. I hope we have something like that here soon. There is some news about a whole community being built where such facilities will be available. Dunno when though.

Hello, Sorry to Hear about your son. Have you tried emirates British nursing they do home visits as do health bay clinic nurses do home visits. Can you not ask the nurses in the hospital to train you to put in the ng tube, in the uk the parents would be trained to put it back in and given a teaching pack and signed off . It's quite comprehensive and you'd need to do so many before you were signed off. I understand its hard on your our own child. Take care X Thank you so much. now I have at least a direction. I will be sending an email to Emirates British nursing.. wish me luck. when I was sent home on 15th Jan this year, it was just with a pat on my back. no guidance nothing only the normal feeding him like this and if there is any problem come to the ER. but that is no walk in the park. \it is just so frustrating! I just want to give my son comfort. he was a happy boy with a great appetite, not a fussy eater at all and now he is just on pediasure thru the ng tube. He was also going to a mainstream school and now is bedridden and lost his speech as well.

I don't believe there is a hospice movement in Dubai, however Tawam Hospital have palliative care, so you could try them. Otherwise, there are a couple of home care companies that may be able to help with tube feeding. Try Medcare Hospital. Thank you desertdoc. I have a 11yr old who on pediasure through ng tube and for changing or replacing it if he removes it I have to rush to the hospital. I reaaly hope there is some alternative

Hello ladies, Anybody has an idea whether hospice services for children are availble here...or perhaps someone trained in tube feeding, etc who can do house visits.

Thankyou Rickadon for your reply. I was suggested by my son's doctor to get one for him as he is losing weight and is having difficulty in swallowing. He has stopped talking from this march and as he will be operated, I was afraid as how I will know whether he is pain or uncomfortable. I have been delaying this for two months now.

Thanx for the tips Alismum. I did first check with dubizzle but it seem everyone had kids who just finished grade 4 ( haha ) and yes 100 would still be much as I have 3 school going kids and the beginning of the school is just hectic with costs and all. I was getting the other subjects textbooks from a friend only the islamic books were photocopy ( not the complete book) and my daughter had trouble reading from them. I will get in touch with Janatks asap the weekend-family-gatherings are overfor level 3. btw still in search for Level 5.
