Sorry to hijack, does NAS have pastoral care in both primary and secondary, most schools have a social well being program that is part of the curriculum - some schools call this global citizenship, choices, etc. Sometimes the school nurse provides support too - but would depend on the qualifications of the nurse and their capacity. I know some school offer mindfulness, social thinking programs too. Surprising to hear NAS don't have this type of support. Shouldn't this be a pre-requisite for all schools? School library should also have story picture books referring to social thinking and behaviour that are age appropriate. Might be worth a check. If not try a good book shop

MYP starts in year 10, it's a two year course which then leads to IB Diploma another two year course which starts in year 12. Here is the link for IB World Schools, this will give you a list of all MYP/IB Schools in the world, just use the filters to drill down to Dubai. http://www.ibo.org/en/programmes/find-an-ib-school/

Thanks everyone for all your comments. goodytwoshoes, thanks for your comments, just wondering did you happen to look at any other schools before deciding on Repton? If so are you able to share? Was also wondering what the views are about Nord Anglia, does anyone have anything to share about the school so far? I'm only interested in the senior school division. Many thanks.

Thank everyone, I'm not really worried about choosing the most academic school but more interested in choosing a school that will support my child an making sure they are in a happy environment that encourages good social well being. If my child is happy and surrounded by happy, motivated, nurturing staff my child will thrive. I'm taking a look at the other schools mentioned here but I think ultimately, my choice will be dependent on where there a places available. I just want to make sure I make the right choices for my kids as moving country and school is scary.

Thanks, I have looked at the ratings but wanted more of an overview of what parents think rather than an inspector. If anyone can give valuable insight from a parent /child perspective it would me much appreciated. Many thanks
