You can just get the barber to come home, did that with my DS 2 months back, and for my neice 2 years back.... just buy a new 'istra' and they should do it fine at home... cost me...approx AED 50 for him to come home and do it.

I was also considering both the BUzz, and Elea, and we finally decided on the Elea coz it lies flat, folds comfortably/compact, breaks are easy, is manouverable, seat is slightly wider and goes back completely flat... Also unlike the Buzz, the seat can be extended so the LO's feet are flat too. And it looks great too, though looks-wise the Buzz is just as good :) Its available at mom & me for 2060 in Red, Black and a very Gorgeous Deep Violet/Purple..... :) ...and it is parent-facing as well. edited by Mahawish on 16/09/2012 edited by Mahawish on 16/09/2012

I've used Diamond Lease, they provide this service as well and I've found their rates to be more reasonable than using the private cabs. While I've used them because they are the preferred supplier for where I work, and consequently we have corporate rates, I do believe them to be more reasonable. You could give them a call on - 971 (04) 8852111. My contact person there is Neilyn, and she's quite helpful.

Thanks guys....its quite reassuring. I'm still not sure at this point what i'm going to opt for but I guess, you are right, the best option is to keep the doctor informed and then perhaps try natural..... ....but keep the birth plan flexible, so that if things don't go as planned, then be open to taking the Epidural.

I got this done from a laboratory on the Sharjah Cornice, which has a lot of specialist hospitals and labs....(the name escapes me, but will have a look once i'm back home) I had a lot of people tell me it is extremely painful, but overall while I found the experience to be uncomfortable, there wasn't much pain involved .....probably due to the pain killers. the doc. had told me they'd give me two injections on my sides, which I belive helped with the pain, and it was over before I knew it. The procedure was uncomfortable, but not painful. PErhaps you should ask your doctor, or the laboratory whether they will be giving you something for the pain ? Also if there is a blockage (cross my fingers hoping, there isnt') then the IUI is likely to be unsuccessfull, making it more frustrating in the end. Based on the fact that you are considering this, Im assuming this is probably one of the final tests you will be doing. A lot of people also state that flushing with the dye, actually helps clear all the tubes, even thought there may be no particular blockage and it may acutally prove beneficial doing an IUI or even trying naturallly in subsequent cycles. (My bf, conceived naturally immediately after her HSG and actually was quite happy to cancel her IUI appointment with Dr. Pankaj :)) All said and done once u've done the HSG, the IUI will be a piece of cake :)

This list should be helpful... There are a number of second-hand shops, often linked to churches and special needs schools, but the opening hours can be somewhat eccentric. The Dubai Charity Centre (04 337 8246), behind Choithram in Karama, is the biggest of the charity shops. This store supports the students who attend The Dubai Centre for Special Needs, and finances a number of places for those who are unable to afford them. It stocks a good range of clothes, books and toys. All donations in good condition are accepted. The Holy Trinity Thrift Shop (04 337 8192) gives you back 50% of what your items sell for, so you can even make money out of being charitable. It is good for high-quality items and books in particular, and proceeds go towards a number of orphanages supported by the church. The Al Noor shop raises funds for the Al Noor School for Special Needs and is good for second-hand clothing. All donations in good condition are accepted. The Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre, behind the American Academic School in Al Barsha, has a decent range of items and raises money for projects at the centre. If you are looking to clear some space on your bookshelves, Book World in Karama and Satwa, and House of Prose which has branches in Jumeira Plaza and Ibn Battuta, both buys books in good condition that they will be able to sell. Any books bought from them will be worth 50% of the purchase price if returned in good condition.

Used them once myself, chose the wrong size by mistake and when I called them stating that it was a mistake and infact i had paid for the bigger size, they refused to change it considering that I had paid a different price, stating it had already been printed. The best they could do was offer me a 20% discount for a limited time period for a future transaction!!! I wouldn't recommend them at all. No service, no courtesy.

Pakistani bridal suits, you won't find at Jamal Abdul Nasser, only arabic dresses. Sahib in the cloth market behind sharjah cinema has Bridal Outfits, and there are lots of other shops in the same market....with lots of outfits that you will probably need. There are jewellery (artificial bridal sets) shops there as well with the most gorgeous 'kundan' jewellery.... for Pakistani/traditional bridal make up - your best options would be: Ghazala Mir(on facebook) - more 'Karachi' looking make-up Ghazala of Alle Nora - more 'Lahore' touch... (if you're from pakistan u'll understand) Personally I love both for different reasons... :) happy to explain/give you the contacts just drop me your email.... take care... thanks Mahwish, you may contact my friend at . pls letme know I will delete her address. she is basically from Karachi. ETA: I think both Ghazala are same Ghazala of Alle Nora & Ghazala Mir. edited by sunlight on 05/06/2012 edited by sunlight on 05/06/2012 you can remove the email. will send her the details. nope, they are two different people, have met them both and enjoyed their make-up expertise for different Bridal occaisions... edited by Mahawish on 05/06/2012

Hi Irooni, A very traditional remedy once you do get rid of the infection is to get some 'oud' and use this in your house once in 2 weeks... (later it can be done once a month). If you aren't very fond of this or have kids in the house who might not appreciate it, do it at a time when there is nobody in the house. let it be for about half n hour before letting the house air naturally. This will get rid of the irritants in the air causing this and also the inhaled air will help clear your sinuses. This is a tried and tested remedy, works wonders. My DH hasn't complained of sinuses after suffering consistently for more than 2 years!

Hi, my neice needs to prepare for her KG2 entrance test. She hasn't been to school/preschool so basically she needs somewhere where they can take her through the alphabet (written), basic numbers, word recognition, day, months etc. She does have the cirriculum books. Preferably somewhere based in Shj. If anybody knows of any school I would appreciate the help.
