My DH is very sick with cold and fever..so finally I convinced him to see a doctor this evening... he doesn't like it :( all well and fine until he reached the pharmacy, I was waiting in the car as no parking available.. 20 min later, I call my husband not knowing why it takes that long, he answers me " things are moving now, will be back to the car shortly" ...10 min later still nothing..after 35 min he finally comes back to the car and tells me the story..only one pharmacist serving and a couple just in front of him asking lots of questions about different medicines ( as opposed to asking a doctor) and after a while telling the pharmacist oh, we also work in healthcare do you know so and so, ect in the meanwhile my poor sick DH waiting politely for them to finish their conversation... we was acknowdleged after 20 min, but instead of pharmacist quickly helping him, they kept him waiting for 35 min while having a chat with the couple.. I was of course very upset when he came back and became quite angry when he told me the story as I would have of course interuppted them at some point and said plainly sorry I am unwell, may I please have the medicines ect ect

OMG if I think about it I would not touch any animal product including milk and eggs which I enjoy....what about vegetables?? Are we certain that they don,t suffer? Hunting and wearing fur should be a thing of the past by now

In our case your husband needs to apply Thanks a lot Sweetybeety! So it means, you brought your parents here under your husband's sponsorship and can never try for ourselves? Hi Juliana you can sponsor your parents as long as you have your own visa from your company.. if you are under your husband visa he has to sponsor them

Have you tried better homes? They have a branch in the community market. For some reason I get emails from an estate agents called square feet (squarefeet dot ae). Apparently they specialise in Green Community, though I've never used them myself! Good luck Been in touch with Sf re too, and saw BH listings too, thanks

I may have been mistaken, but I thought I saw one on Petunia Lane (GCW, DIP) for sale.......right near the start of the lane on the left I assume you have considered asking those up for rent if they wish to sell? Hi Loube We will drive around today again to look for signs..

sweetbeety - I think the empty bungalow you described is in the same cul--de-sac as us. You are right that it has never been lived in, this is due to sad circumstances, however do not think it is currently being sold. Very sorry to hear that, I hope their situation improves.. we would not want the house in this case..

Still keeping my eyes open for anything up here, Sweetybeety! I was speaking to an agent last week who said the GC bungalows are in demand and he has more buyers than sellers at the moment. Dont give up - like Monnie, we had lots of headaches before finally agreeing the purchase of ours. We nearly gave up and rented for another year, but so pleased now that we made the move, as we love it here. edited by JayBee on 03/06/2012 edited by JayBee on 03/06/2012 Thanks JayBee.. yes it seems more demand for GC than available units for sale, prices on the up:) I do hope to meet you for a coffee if we do end up moving there

Thanks Monnie hopefully we will also get lucky soon.. We are looking at DIP as Motorcity ones are above our budget.. we are fine with the lease hold as still plenty of years left :) we just wanted a nice big garden as for the layout of the bungalows is great in our view, great design and lots of open space and alsolutely love the big glass sliding doors.... Will check Dubizzle again...and continue our search

Does no one else's makeup just slide off in this weather? I couldn't imagine caking my face with a load of makeup. Its too hot to bother. A bit of bronzer and some lip salve and I'm ready to go! Yes it does but I just have to touch it up during the day. When I go makeup free people keep asking if I'm ill and tell me to go home and rest :\: What is it with these people that always go " you look tired", " are you Ok?" you need rest

I was always on my company sponsorship, however when I was 7 months pregnant decided to stop working and was a housewife for 6 months hence transferred to my husband visa. Afterwards started working again and my current employer only applied for a work permit for me, got it but sill under Dh visa. Not allowed to work is just a standard wife visa you can still apply for work permit which allows you to work

Hello, I normally have to get a visit visa from DNRD for my parents when they visit and they have a compulsory product from noortakaful, which is like the government insurance..now my dad actually got sick during his last visit and we had to admit him at the Iranian Hospital and we had to pay cash for everything and I made the claim right after he was discharged and still waiting.. they only paid me back half of the amount as for the rest they still need some details from the hospital and they made the cheque in the wrong name.. so I can only advise you which insurance not to get...sorry maybe try Bupa..

Hello, just registered my 11 month old son to start full time at the Kensigton Nursery in Jumeirah.. any feedback from the mums that already have their children there.. really appreciated.. as my DH and I work full time we had no choice but to enroll him from 8 am to 6pm five days a week.. Appreciate your feedback edited by sweetybeety on 29/01/2012

We own our apartment but we also live in it.. I am not sure how profitable will be to rent out as service fees are 18 dirhams per sf...if the rent will go a bit higher will probably make sense...but once you pay and service fees and the mortgage not sure will be anything left from sum coming from rent
