Improve Appearance
Orthodontic treatment improves appearance and helps achieve facial balance. The teeth are straightened and moved to a better position. Orthodontics result in increased confidence in both children and adults.
Better Oral Health
Orthodontic treatment leads to long-term dental health. Brushing and flossing is easier when teeth are well-aligned and, therefore, the risk of tooth decay and periodontal disease is reduced.
Better function, relief from headaches
Orthodontic treatment results in good occlusion, thus allowing better function. In addition, if the teeth do not bite together properly, strain can be put on the muscles of the jaw, causing jaw and joint problems and, in some cases, headaches. Biting more evenly helps reduce the strain.
Improve speech
Orthodontic treatment can improve speech. When the upper and lower front teeth do not align properly, this can cause speech difficulties. These can be corrected through orthodontic treatment, often combined with speech therapy.
Interdisciplinary Treatment
Sometimes, orthodontic treatment can be the preparatory stage of a dental plan, which includes implants and other restorative work.
