Jumeirah Beach Residence

Have you been to JBR lately?

Well they’ve refurbished a lot of it and I must say that we LOVE the changes. The beach and walk now has that tourist appeal that it was missing including readily available, clean facilities including showers, green patches for people to get together and play sports such a quick game of rugby or Frisbee. There are also a large number of restaurants open with a sea view, and a funky atmosphere where you can grab a quick bite or indulge in a lingering lunch whilst taking in the great sea view.

JBR has become a place where you can kick start your day on a soft, reinforced running track and make use of the fixed exercise equipment including an elliptical machine and stationary bike, amongst others. You can grab a quick coffee and breakfast before making your way to the beach to find a great spot on the sand. If sand is not your thing, you can have a beach day rental of two sun loungers, towels, a side table, umbrella and three hours of parking for AED175. If you have kids, there is plenty for them to do, there are various climbing obstacles for them on the beach and a giant bouncy castle and climbing wall in the sea. There is also a fun and activity filled day care centre for those of you that need this service.

Want to remember the day and your smartphone’s battery is dead? No problem, there are photo booth where you can capture your special day and the photo will be emailed to you. Once you are done with the beach activities, head on to the outdoor cinema. Or if it’s too hot and humid for you, head on indoors to the cinema and don’t forget the popcorn. Once you are done with beach activities you can hop onto the JBR promenade for a walk and a coffee at one of the fabulous cafes and even grab a delicious dinner. JBR has become a great destination for a beach day out offering everything that you might need. Check it out before the summer becomes too hot.
