Just moved from HSBC to ADCB and can't believe the difference in service! as opposed to HSBC they actually know what a BSB is and have actually phoned us within 5 mins when my husband made a mistake with out internet banking! Now that is service!

Ethos made a survey of all UAE bank HSBC was the bottom 3 banks..not a surprise there

Mullberry the same happened to us: we made a transfer to buy land in Egypt, the money never arrived... HSBC told me the money was stuck in the bank HQ in Cairo, while it left our account but never left the UAE. It took me 3 weeks of calling everyday to sort out their mess. We lost the land deal and got no apologies. I did send them the EW links of complaints they never bothered. Bank from ****.

Out of interest, is this HSBC UAE or Offshore? We've got Offshore accounts with HSBC but still trying to working out what is the best/least expensive way of transferring between the our Mashreq AED accounts and the HSBC offshore accounts. They've screwed up on opening our HSBC AED account and I've just given up on that one.

Their service here is shocking! But we stick with them because we have so much set up with them around the world and it would be such a hassle to change. And frankly, their service has been fine in the other countries where we have accounts but here... OH GOOD GRIEF it is ATROCIOUS.

The worlds worst bank - I have on several occasions threanted to report them to their regulator in Jersey particulay when they threated to put my mortgage up by 2% because my property was not registered in Dubai through no fault of my own - they soon backed down on that one particulary when I pointed out I used to work for the FSA in London.

They have no customer service whatsoever !!!
They also are no help at all in any way
In fact they are cr@p end of - move banks !!
