Hi,

I am thinking of buying my husband an iPad 2 for his Christmas. I received this as one of today's Cobone deals - it's several hundred dirhims cheaper than anywhere else (including Appl.ae website). Do you think it is taking too big a chance going with Cobone for such a purchase? I have just read a few stories on the forum about things going wrong.

My iPad 2 came from this company via Cobone. Took Cobone a while to get the voucher sorted, but in the end they were fine and the actual company were brilliant.

That carrefour ad is for an Ipad 1. I have just bought an Ipad 2 from Emax 64GB, Wifi and 3G and it cost AED3,499. Think its the same in Carrefour but you get a AED 350 or AED 250 voucher (I can't remember). I would just check the warranty terms on the Cobone one, looks like a great price though. sorry, i didn't notice - their Ipad 2 is 3,500 dhs.

Yes thats the same warranty emax gave us. They did offer an additional year but you had to pay extra for that. We love ours :) Carrefour have better deals, i.e. you get a voucher and a free case. I did read on here recently that they don't provide an apple warranty so you may want to check that - not sure if that's true? (I only saw the carrefour deals after I had already bought ours otherwise would have got it there)

Hi, Thanks for that - yes, I noticed that the link from C4 was the iPad 1. The iPad 2 from C4 is the same as you paid at Emax. The Cobone deal says 1 year international warranty from Apple. Is your warranty from Emax the same? I am just a bit nervous about buying such a big purchase from Cobone. Will maybe stick to C4/Emax even although a little more expensive. S
