Stranger Danger again.
Following received today:
Dear Parents
Back in December we notified you of an incident that had occurred around the Emirates Hills area, regarding a female student from Dubai British School who was approached by man in a car. Fortunately, a parent was passing and escorted the girl to a group of friends.
This time I am writing to let you know about another incident that occurred last weekend. A WIS Student was approached whilst riding his bike on the way to meet friends at the park in the Meadows.
The man, who was of Asian descent and also on a bike asked the boy to come back to his home with him. Fortunately, following the warnings in December, the parents had already Instilled in their son the dangers of going off with strangers and he sped off to find his friends. Eventually the man gave up and went away. This incident was reported both to the Police and the Security at the Meadows.
Please be vigilant at this time and again reinforce in your children that they should never go off anywhere without your knowledge, or get into a stranger's car. It is also safer for them to stay together in groups when they are out. Should you witness a similar incident, please contact both the Police and the school.
