I would do the old teenager trick of waiting, then going back and asking a different person.Many times, I've gone to ask for A or B to be done, they say no, then my friend will tell me they asked the exact same thing and it was no problem.It depends on who you talk to. I would get your DH to do it, but to go ask a man. Maybe he can use the "I'm in big trouble with my wife' line....

Not Etisalat, but I bought a Blackberry for my daughter's birthday from a phone retailer at MCC recently and they offered (I didn't ask) to exchange the phone to any colour my daughter wanted, so long as I made the exchange within a week of purchase.

My not so darling DH went to Etisalat yesterday to pick up my long awaited iphone 4s for me. However, being the poor listener that he is (to put it politely) he bought the wrong colour. So, back he went today to exchange it for what i'd actually asked for only to be told that they couldn't swap it (even though it was bought yesterday and still unopened) due to warranty issues. How can this be possible?? Surely we're within our rights to exchange unopened goods, even if it was down to an error on our (his!) part... edited by Mockingbird on 15/03/2012
