I don't mean to highjack this thread but my daughter is volunteering at a children's orphanage in Kathmandu for the month of July and if anyone has any donations for children aged 4 - 10 years she would be really grateful. Email me for details jackie dot sweed at hotmail.com

based on this thread I headed to Al Wasl back in 2010 and asked for the orphanage and they said there wasnt one, so Im not sure if that is an option. Sadly the charity business here is tightly controlled. I remember seeing the women raising money for the Ajman widows and orphans at Safa park doing very well but were quickly closed down as they didnt have a permit to fund raise. So sad. I wonder if the Al Ihsan charity is still in operation?edited by hilsbils on 30/05/2012

Bump for this one, if anyone knows of any places that need some help, I know of a young woman who is looking for a 'project' to do for community service. Perhaps raising money for teddy bears or games, but she needs some place to work with so she can fulfill these requirements for Girl Scouts. Any ideas or suggestions of places within Dubai that she could support would be appreciated. Many thanks.

ive only just noticed that this is an old thread that has resurfaced, but are there any ladies on here that are helping out with the orphanage in Dubai? We are a music school, and would LOVE to help out and provide some music and movt sessions, or music making sessions etc..

Hi ladies,I have tons of things to donate also baby milk that will expire in a couple of months. Would really love to give it to someone to make use of it. Is this thread still running at all?
