I am going through this at the moment as due to move out september aand new company needs certs for visa.Firstly i called my school, they had my grades on there computer and also told me the examining board for each exam at the time.I then went to the respective websites which were aqa excelor and ocr and there are sections on there for reproducing certs. Its £35 per exam board so if all the exams were by 1 board its just one payment. It takes up to 28 days to get the certs then you have to go through the whole attestation routine aswell which will be another couple of weeks i hope this helps

this happened to my son. He lost his during a house move and although it was only 4 years from when they were issued, each one cost £75 to replace and that was 10 yrs ago. We had go to the school (in Dubai luckily) and they managed to provide us with photocopies of the originals and give us the Examining Bodies code. Once we had that. it was pretty straight forward and all done on the internet. I do remember reading somewhere though, that after a certain period of time, its almost impossible to get them as paper trails, schools closing and lack of computer technology meant that some years are not that readily available.

Depending on how long ago you took the exams, could you not go back to the school where you took them and ask if they still have records of which board(s) they were using at the time you were there?

Based on the location of where you took the exams, this should help you identify which Board you need to contact to get a replacement certificate http://store.aqa.org.uk/admin/library/AQA-EXAMRECORDS.PDF
