Can anyone recommend somewhere where I can just go in an pick up a big cake local to Marina?

I know spinneys do them but not too sure how tasty they are!

TIA

Sorry for the boring question

Yet?? Sounds promising :) I [i'>feasted[/i'> my eyes. They may be worth a trip to Dubai when the occasion warrants it....

LOL hello kitty. One would think you (cough) owned caketastic!!!! Well, best foot forward and all that! ;) It's no great secret and so I don't go around pretending to be a third party with gushing recommendations. People can decide these things for themselves. I'm sure you've also noticed that I've posted on several cake-related "how to's" which kind of doesn't tie in with a cunning subterfuge! So, when did you want that cake by?

The only cake from Spinneys that worth eating is their Honey Cake. It's quite tall but very light and you just can't stop eating it. Their other cakes are not tasty with fake cream etc. Was just about to say the same thing, my old company got me one from there for my office leaving party, loaded with fake cream, it has such an odd taste, it was so gross!

[url=https://www.facebook.com/pages/Caketastic-Dubai/111813822218118'>Caketastic[/url'> is based in the Marina, if that's any help. Only back from holiday next week though. I second Caketastic. They really were the very best cakes and cupcakes I found in the 2 years I was in Dubai.

You will probably find one in Gateaux. It is on the other side of the main road from Starbuck's (by the traffic lights), Rimal sector, JBR. Haven't bought anything from there for a while but they will be more expensive than Spinney's. edited by amelia on 22/08/2011
