Hi,

after 2 fairly bad accidents as a a child I would like to try getting back 'on the bike' - as it's been more than 20 years. However, can't and don't want to spend a lot of money on one, so anyone know where I could get a really affordable ladies bike?
Thanks a lot!

Hmmm, good question *scratches head*. We entered at the main entrance and walked the length of Dragon Mart. I'm certain the bikes were on the left hand side. The shop was one alley back from the main walkway, but all the bikes were displayed in the aisle between the shop and the main walkway so they were clearly visible as you walk down the centre. Perhaps about 1/3 - 1/2 way along? Sorry, can't be more specific.

You know I saw some great 3 wheeled adult "trikes" at Dragon Mart a few weeks ago. They were about 600 Dhms I think and had a very decent sized basket on the back between the 2 back wheels. I'm actually thinking of going back and getting myself one for little runs to the shops instead of taking the car and maybe putting the kids backpacks in and riding with them to school, etc. It would certainly be more stable than a 2 wheeler if you are nervous. And cheap enough for you to let go and get a proper bike later when you are more confident. The only complaint I had about it was that it didn't have gears, but then Dubai is so flat, perhaps you don't need gears anyway...

Hubby and I got great bikes from Decathlon...I think they were approx 800aed each but great quality for that price. Helmets are pretty cheap there too. It's located in Mirdiff City Centre x

Cyclone T, I think that helmets are mandatory now, along with a reflective vest/waistcoat.

When I was in Dubai I bought a cheap but nonetheless adequate ladies bike from Geant for 400aed. Please note that Dubai drivers are not bicycle friendly so while not mandatory a helmet is a good idea.
