Hello ladies,

I have been exercising for a while now - I seem to have a lot of fat accumulation on my thighs and have a lot of cellulite and loose and saggy skin..it does not seem to budge with exercising - i've tried getting a personal trainer, tried various different exercises but no luck.

I have looked at previous threads on lipo/lazer but none came up for thighs. I wanted to know if any of you have had lipo or any non invasive treatments for thighs in dubai? Could you please guide me on the below?

*Do they work for the amount of money you spend?
*Any side effects? How big is the scar and where is it if you are doing the thighs only?
* Any maintenance treatments you need to do after or can you just continue exercising and eating healthy (without going overboard)?
*Costs of the entire treatment?
*How good is the result - how much do you loose - do you get a perfect result?
*Where do you recommend in Dubai? Alternatively, I am happy to do this back home in London if any of you have had it there and can recommend a place and all the above?

Alternatively, if you know of friends or family members that have had the same pls pls do recommend me - and or if you can point me to a website on the right treatment?

Are you excercising enough? Hard enough? Doing the right sort of excercise? How many times a week do you see the trainer? Excercise and limiting what you eat will be much better than lipo in the long term. Perhaps try LPG first rather than lipo; I did this in London and it was effective at smoothing skin / smoothing lumps and bumps however I wasn;t over weight, and I don't think it can get rid of actual fat. There is a place on Beach road that does it. Hi Suze63 - thanks for your message - Since last October (5 months) I have been with a personal trainer - one of the recommended ones on EW - He trains me 3x a week and I also go swimming, zumba and yoga on the other 3 days..just to keep it fun..I do train hard - my diet is quite good as per the personal trainer...I am not overweight at all - just have very loose skin due to the fact that I never exercised much when I was younger so that fat and sagging has got worse.. i have toned up my thighs a little but i still have the excess bulk and cellulite - my pt said it was hereditary and wont shift easily...i nearly gave up exercising because i couldnt see the results I wanted as i exercise hard and dont even have that much junk anymore...So hence why I am turning to the easy way out but want to maintain exercising and keeping healthy..I will look into your recommendation - go for a consultation.. ummm - it's a little concerning that you are seeing a PT three times a week and not seeing any results...... perhaps they are not very good..... Hi angelinaballerina - the PT was very much recommended by many on here - he is very good and i have seen results of others he has also been training whilst training me...its not that i havent seen any results..i have all over my body...i have dropped a dress size, look very lean but my thighs are not having the same effect as the rest of the body - its a hereditary issue that can not be resolved easily i guess

You make me feel tired doing all that!!! A couple of my colleagues have been trying to tempt me into pilates after I hurt my back and had to stop my usual training...they rave about Real Pilates on Beach Rd. I never did it though and am now back into my training schedule and found that after a 4-5 week break everything went 'ping' once I started excercising again (lost 3kg and am visibily smaller / slimmer). I wouldn't really advocate taking a break and vegging out though!! If you try LPG I'd love to know how you get on :) Thanks suze63 - I shall firstly go for a consultation and see the difference of LPG Vs Vellashape - i checked other forums on this after this thread and found various opinions so im really confused..if i am convinced that one will work for me than i will surely give it a shot - and then come back and give my opinion...Perhaps i need to start on pilates - maybe it will suit my bodytype more

My best friend in the UK had lipo and said it was the worst thing she ever did. She was in agony after the operation and although it removed the fat her skin surface is bumpy and has dents in places. Cellulite is the bane of most womens lives. Exercise, plenty of water, no caffeine, junk food in moderation and body brushing help. Personally i feel it can be genetic as i have very slim friends who have it and voluptuous friends who don't. I have had both LPG ( Didnt rate it) and Velashape ( This was good but you have to keep having it and it is very expensive) Good Luck with whatever you chose to do :-) Thanks louisedvs - woww...Now im really scared of lipo...i guess if the velashape will be a good option I may think about it...depending on how costly it is..thanks so much for your advise...I am doing exactly what you have mentioned above..i have had a very good healthy life style for the last 5 months and exercised the proper way and hard but although, i feel so much better and look so much better, my thighs still look ugly...wish there was a miracle...
