Hi ladies..
Would like to ask regarding the Check Ups procedures and process in latifa and the Clinic (accredited by latifa).
I'm 11 weeks and 3 days pregnant for the first time (almost ending my first trimester :)), and Latifa told me that I need to report to the accredited clinic for the check ups then when I turn 5 months, my check ups will be held in the Latifa hospital itself...
What kind of check ups and lab tests are they doing in the clinic and in the hospital? Do they let you see your baby in the monitor? ( al Baraha does not do this). I presume taking your weight, height, BP.. What else? Do they monitor if the baby inside you is progressing the way the fetus should be? Do they monitor If your water level is ok or not?
I would appreciate if someone will give me some enlightenment :)
Thanks a lot
Thanks ladies,
I'll give them a call tomorrow and try and find out the current situation.
Unfortunately :( no im not pregnant, ive severe endometriosis and a Dr who is transferring there seems to be very knowledgeable in this.
HI I had my 3 children at Latifa and was very happy with it. They are a govt hospital, free for Emiratis and paying for expats. You need a health card to access their services but it is very easy to obtain one.
Latifa is not fancy but definitely the best place to give birth if you have a high risk pregnancy and/or something goes wrong.
ETA: Sorry, not sure whether you are pg or not. If so, you need to wait until you are 16 weeks to register. Before then you can see a private OB for scans including nuchal translucency.

Latifa hospital is run by the Dubai health authorities ( ex al wasl ). I think you would need to get a health card to go there but not sure. I heard it is a very good hospital
Ladies
Please excuse my ignorance here but latifa hospital is this government hospital? Do this mean I can or cannot go there??
Eventually found out where the endometriosis dr is moving onto and it's here.
Has anyone any experience of this hospital??
