Thank you so much ladies for your responses..
I know I quite liked Homegrown, but I guess it is probably not meant to be.. :(
I have gotten over Homegrown and quite like the Montessori Method.. and was wondering anyone had any experience with that.

Proudmama, thank you for your comment.. I dont know if its a case of sour grapes but it made me feel better :)
I think perhaps I will go for a more established place..
Thank you all so much for ur replies :)
My opinion is based on personal experience. The facility is quite lovely, and the people who work there are nice and friendly, but unfortunately they lack the experience in dealing with children.
My DD attends HomeGrown and I totally agree with Vonvon, it is a wonderful establishment. My DD has truly benefited from being there and the staff are wonderful. Being a new nursery, I can see that some may be apprehensive but if you read other threads it can be seen that more established nurseries are not exempt from issues. Cost wise, it's certainly neither the cheapest or the most expensive, however knowing that part of the fees goes towards a charity house and sponsoring needy families takes the sting out of it a little.
I would definitely keep your options open if your a keen to put your child in somewhere next term but if you are really keen on HG, perhaps call and see how many are on the wait list for the class you want. All currents students were required to confirm and secure their places for 2012/13 by yesterday so they will begin offering places to waitlisted children in the coming weeks.
Good Luck with your search - it certainly can be stressful and emotional.
Hi scarlett78,
I know this won't make it any easier, but I have a cousin who lives in Dubai and she has been to pretty much all the nurseries in jumeirah for orientations, and she can't stop praising home grown nursery, ever since her son started attending. :)
Thats good advice plain-jane.. but I dont think that would be possible , to put my child for just a term or so and then change the nursery.
The thing is I haven't found any nursery that has ticked all the boxes excpt this one.. I am so disheartened with these waiting lists.. My other child is on the waiting list for 3 years now in a school I like but hasnt got through.. ugghh!! :(
I think all the nurseries charge about 30K for all 5 days, or at least the ones I have viewed..
Vonvon, nice to hear that your child is thriving there, and I could see the staff really like to be what they are doing..
Thinking I will carry on with my search.. :( :(
You could always just wait for a place and use another nursery in the meantime? Once a place comes up you wouldnt be obliged to take it if you decided you were happy with the other less expensive one?
Hi there. My DD attends this nursery after attending 2 other nurseries prior to this. Have to say it's been one of the best decisions I've made. She is totally thriving there. I agree the fees are quite expensive compared to other nurseries but I feel the facilities and educational materials used within the classroom are far superior to other places I've seen. The teachers and teaching assistants in each classroom are typically European with educational backgrounds so I imagine their salary costs are higher than most nurseries whose assistants are usually Phillipino and therefore probably paid considerably less. I'm a firm believer that what will suit one person may not be best for everyone but I really feel I have found the best fit for my DD here. I cannot praise the staff enough. However if this is the only place you have looked at then I would suggest visiting a few more nurseries just to make sure you find the right place for you and your child.
Hi
I had a look around at the nursery. It looks wonderful.. but already has a waiting list??
My husband says they are just being pricey, because all other nurseries have places.
I was wondering if I should for places to be available or should just go ahead and register my child at any of the other nurseries..
any thoughts? advice?
I really like the nursery tho :(
