Can anyone recommend a good dentist for a general yearly clean and polish, preferably somewhere close to the Palm. Can anyone let me know how much they usually pay for a clean and polish. TIA.

I'm going next month, but the kids went last week and they were 350dhs each, so I assume adults would be more.

Thanks for the recommendations, can anyone tell me how much they pay for a clean and polish at the dental studio as I usually go to Dr Nicolas and Asp but I think they are quite expensive.

Also recommend Dental Studio - Dr Anton is great and Jo the hygienist is lovely. Plus if you get the Entertainer spa book there are vouchers for scale/polish and dental appointments - well worth buying the book for that alone! Hubby and I have saved heaps.

The dental Studio off Al Wasl road for all your dental stuff is highly recommendable http://www.thedentalstudio.ae/

Me and DH have recently been to Dr Heather Totten after a recommendation here, found her to be very good for the general checkup and S&P. She's at Medicentres, Motorcity so not sure if your location.

It just so happens that I have just returned from seeing a dentist who was recommended on here last week. My daughter had broken a tooth, and I needed to get her seen quickly last week. She ended up needing a root canal, and we just returned a few minutes ago. We saw a dentist (lady) by the name of Tanweer Kathawala of Glow Medical & Dental Center which is over by the American University in the Arenco Building. I can't say how much she charges for cleaning, but I (and daughter) were very happy with their services and thought the price was comparable and, actually, cheaper than our regular dentist. We have to go back Wednesday to put a filling in now that the root canal is done. I've seen a number of dentists from all sorts of backgrounds over the years here, so I feel comfortable recommending her. Her card says she is US trained and her English was great. Oh, and they have inside parking (free). Hope this helps. edited by norak on 24/06/2012
