Hi ladies,

Have you noticed that all of a sudden Butterball Turkeys have disappeared from all of the supermarkets? I'm keen to buy one so if anyone knows where they all are, I'd love to know.

I was also looking for a butterball turkey last week. I ended up getting Jennie O and was very happy with the quality and it tasted delicious. :)

It's been years since I have had either one of them, but they were always just as good as Butterball. Well known and been around for a long time.

We have just cooked a Jennie-O for Thanksgiving, and it was very good..just as good if not better than Butterball.

One of the earlier posters had said she investigated this issue and found that, apparently, Butterball is no longer interested in providing "halal" products to the region and, therefore, stocks would be dwindling. They will be replaced by Norbest or Jenni-O. I have seen these in some stores recently. With Christmas approaching, I am sure there will be adequate supplies -- I hope!

Yes no Butterballs around, I did see some frozen Turkeys and Ducks from Germany, in Geant today. No idea what they are like, first time for me to see that brand here.
