My 14 year son has to dress as his favourite book character tomorrow! The only problem is that he doesn't read any books.
Any suggestions???

Tks

They used to do this at school, my mum forgot about my costume so on the day of i put on white singlet and shorts and my sister wrapped me in loo roll and I went as the mummy from Goosebumps ;) Another year I went as a 'bookshelf'- wore a box and stuck old book spines on it as the books... I was a bit left of field lol

Tks, got Groucho Marx glasses and took off the eyebrows & nose, they are perfect now. He is sorted now for all of 5 mins in English class where he will then put everything into his bag or forget them all together tomorrow afternoon.. Irish, I don't know where you live, but creative Minds in Al Barsha 2 definitely have individual packs of Harry Potter glasses. I saw them a few days ago. Not sure what time they close. I think 10 pm but you could give them a call to check 04 3237 180/81/82

That's funny, more in the same boat! DS has got a choice of Titanic (?) or Bugsy Malone. He can go in in one of DH's jackets I suppose...bit lame though!

They're all great suggestions, thank you. He can choose one and at least I won't be rushing around in the morning. Don't know why they are making secondary students do this though? It's like hallow'een part 2 all over again :))

The Hobbit? Would require a trip to Lulu's for braces, then down the road to Creative Minds for big ears. An old shirt and 3/4 pants.

I have a 7 year old too, and he is going as mr. Bump. Blue shirt & shorts and am going to wrap bandages around his head, arms and stomach! quote=The Original BMAP'>That kid from Diary of a Wimpy Kid? Black shorts, white T-shirt. MAybe he's at least seen the movie so he can talk about the plot? ETA: I thought originally you had said 14 MONTH old son and I typed in suggesting one of the Mr Men, LOL. I had a Mr Bump toy when i was small It had velcro bandages and i loved it!

Let him soil his oldest clothes and dress him up as Oliver in Oliver Twist of Dickens! Give him an empty bowel to take to school and ask the famous question around his teacher: ...'please sir,may I have some more?' !

Put him in a check shirt with jeans. He can pretend to be Tom Sawyer.
