I was given a Kindle as a gift and was going to advertise it on Dubizzle. Only problem is that as the box is sealed I can't tell which model it is. Any advice how I find out?

TIA x

I recently replaced my Kindle Keyboard with the Kindle Paperwhite and love it!!! I bought mine at Virgin here because it was the same price as buying from Amazon for the 3g version.

RachelA, thanks for sharing info. I will, most likely, get from Amazon as well because of crazy prices here. I will be spending the next few months in Libya which has unreliable access to internet, few & limited selection bookshops, and not even electricity much of the time! This whitepaper Kindle is just what I need since the other features would be unusable. And, since my son wants to buy it for me, I'm going to let him!

norak I recently got the paperwhile and it's FABULOUS! I used to have the keyboard one, and the difference in screen/e-ink quality is unreal. I got mine from Amazon, but noticed that they are available at Virgin (in Qatar -- assuming also in UAE) for not a horrible price.

You do need to know what Kindle it is before you sell it as they vary a lot. I have two kindles. One of the one's without a keyboard, my DH has one with and I have the Kindle fire HD and the prices are very different. I thought it said on the box what it was, might be wrong though!

My son wants to gift me a Kindle, and I was just doing research on them -- models, features, etc. I was sort of wanting to just get the paperwhite one. Once you get it figured out what type and how much you are asking, I would be interested in purchasing it. You might be able to tell by size as the paperwhite and fires are different sizes. edited by norak on 26/03/2013
