To fill anyone else in - this was not the solar thing - this was a specific message on the screen. You solve by switching off your router then reconnect etc - they give you directions on the phone. My husband did it so don't know the specifics - handed the phone to him :D
Coming into summer they often get short outages due to solar activity- it interferes with the signal anything from a few minutes to an hour or two. I can't recall if there is a specific message on the screen about it but they've been running the ads again for the last couple of weeks.
I think all satellite operators get this issue and it's not anything they can change, unfortunately. The lognest I've had was about an hour. hth
