Hi ladies,

I'm about to start work in internet city and I'm a bit worried about the parking. It will only be in the morning for 4 hours but I need to take my car so I can then go straight to school pick up. Does anyone know if it's easy enough to find spaces or any solutions? thanks....

Thanks ladies for all your help. Hope I can get a space, I think I will go on some trial runs and see what I can find. It would just be a nightmare if I couldn't take the car and have to rely on taxis!!! Can you do half a day at Media one?

They've also shut all the sand areas that used to serve as a handy spillover. recently. The cynic in me can guess why that has been done...

Oh dear....., are there spaces about 8.15/8.30? what to people do? You should be ok at that time. Looks like I was wrong about the 2hr rule (I was just going off what was in the 7Days letters). The DIC website says the following: The paid metered parking costs are (no maximum stay): 1 Hour = AED 2 2 Hours = AED 5 3 Hours = AED 8 4 Hours = AED 11

Feefmick's right. If you're there before 8.30am, you should be ok. Just be sure that you remember to top up the meter after 2 hours.

I had to collect something mid morning last week and ended up parking about half a mile away and walking. Hopefully you will get in early enough that you will get a space.

It used to be fine, but is now a pain because they've made it all paid-parking with a max of 2 hrs at a time (which is insane for a workplace). They've also shut all the sand areas that used to serve as a handy spillover. There's been quite a lot of letters in 7Days about it recently.
