Hi anybody know of any place offering wood work classes or courses for teen boys ( girls..)
Sadly not available in most schools here and my son is going to miss the subject. He just presented me with a hand carved chopping board... ( feeling even more guilty than ever for moving him to dubsi school...)
I have looked a bit but nothing coming up so far.
Thanks

Is this not covered under Design & Technology in secondary school? I know DBS have a wonderful D & T lab...

Thanks norak, that's a pity, over the past 2 years he has made some great ( and not so...) items, a clock carved in the shape of Ireland works too!!! And other things, each time he brings home a project tey seem to be getting better he is only 13 and loves doing this. He is a bit of a loner and very self doubting, woodwork gives him something to be proud of even though we are proud of everything he does just a confidence thing which will not help during this move to new school. Thanks again

Sieve 1: Good luck with that. I have been looking for years for anything other than watercolors, painting, drawing etc. I have inquired about woodworking, power tools, ceramic tiling, faux painting, wood staining. Anything! I have asked, suggested etc at these schools. Nothing. I gave up.
