Cancelling visa - can I do it?

Hi would appreciate some advice on this one (will also call DNRD). Our nanny/ maid is leaving us end of June to go home for good. I need her to be with us until this time as I work full time with 2 children. My husband is going to be away from 17th June on business in the UK before we join him on holiday. Can I take her to the airport myself and cancel her visa if I have written/ signed permission from him and any paperwork done in advance?

Has anyone been in a similar position?

Also: she is going back to Sri Lanka to start her own family. Her husband works in Dubai and they are trying to organise family sponsorship so she can stay in Dubai with him. Does anyone know if we can simply transfer her visa to his employer on family sponsorship. Or, if as I think is best, we just keep it simple and get her to exit the country and then it's up to them to sort the rest...I am wary of overcomplicating things:)

Thanks for any advice.

Why not just have you husband cancel her visa immediately prior to his going on business. She will have 30 days to leave once her visa is cancelled anyway. That way you can just put her on the plane with the visa cancellation already done.
