As far as I know, no you can't bring them in anymore. There are Rotties here, so if you're looking to get another one, you could adopt one - there are several up for adoption. But there are rules. They can't be kept in an apartment, they must be leashed and muzzled in public.

Just wondering has anyone brought in a Rottweiler sometime this year without any problems? We had a Rottie X, and thought we would have a problem bringing him to Dubai (we did not) -- he passed away at 15 recently. Our dog moved with us to 8 countries and wondered just in case we decide to get another Rottweiler if anyone has had any problems lately. There are lots of banned breeds lists, but from what I understand it would only be a problem if the owner who imported the dog, decided not to take the dog home or to their next assignment. Our dog would go with us as did the first one -- very much part of our family! It would be great to get some clarity from owners who have recently moved to Dubai with their Rotties. Thanks!
