Hi ladies Any one have any experience of dance classes at cafe de la danse on Al Wasl road? Or any other place I could learn ballroom dancing? One that doesn't require me to sign up with a partner preferably! Thanks xx

Hi Izzy, I'll do that, thanks, but was wondering if anybody had successfully traded an unbuilt property for an existing one?

Hi, I am hoping someone would be able to help me with this. A friend bought an office in a commercial tower in Business Bay in 2007, and it was scheduled to be completed in 2009. Five years on nothing has happened. All payments have been made to the developer and my friend is still servicing the loan she took, with nothing to show for it. Calls to the developer are brushed off. Does anyone have any experience with something like this? Has anyone got a fully constructed property in another building by the same developer in exchange?

I used to have the same problem, now I rub a few drops of jojobo oil on my hands and pat it on my face. Works really well and doesn't make me sweat.

Hi Christine I recently contacted Just Wills in JLT and they charge around 6600 for preparing a UAE compliant will (including a global will). If your husband is the main earner in your family, you should open a separate bank account in your name only, in another bank and keep some money in there for emergencies. The reason for this is, some banks (i know HSBC does this) will freeze all accounts linked to a customer reference number if that customer passes away. As far as I am aware, your Belgian will will be used to dispose of your assets in Belgium, but you will need to have a UAE/ Shariah compliant will for your assets in the UAE.

Celesti, I'm sorry you are going through this. My advise would be to tell your husband what she said and see how he reacts. I'm a strong believer in the strength of women's intuition and you should follow what your gut instinct it. x edited by bumblebee11 on 18/12/2013

Sharon I remember seeing small white cages in the Jumierah Union Coop (opposite Safa Park). I think it was a small florist near the Baskin Robbins. This was about a month ago though.

It's Aida cloth used for cross stitch, I'm not sure what it is made of. Maybe cotton? I wouldn't know where to begin if I had to dye it at home so was hoping I could get it done somewhere.

Hi Could anybody please tell me where I can get some fabric dyed? It isn't a lot, two pieces of cloth maybe the size of an A4 sheet of paper. Thanks! edited by bumblebee11 on 27/11/2013

There are loads of clubs/ groups you could join in Dubai and make new friends. I hope this helps, big hugs, i know how terrible it can be to be alone this time of year xx

We went during the Eid holidays a few months ago, when it was kharif (monsoon) season. the drive took around 12 hours, with stops at petrol stations. Salalah during that time of year is absolutely gorgeous, cloudy and rainy and lush greenery- not at all what you'd expect to see in the gulf in August!! I have no idea what it would be like in December though. The roads were quite decent, but it's a pretty tedious drive, not much to see until you actually start climbing the hills. If there are direct flights I'd recommend you fly. And gloriousmorning is right- dont forget mosquito repellant!! I came back bitten all over!

Hi Moose, I used to be a patient of Dr Catalin Majer at the Neurospinal Hospital in 2010 and I liked him. He used to explain issues in clear, layman;s terms and was very encouraging when I made progress with my physio. There was another doctor who had done my MRIs etc when I was admitted to ER, I dont remember his name but he was quite good as well. My experience with the staff was fantastic, right from the receptionist to the physiotherapist and nurses. i know how awful it is to have back issues, and I hope you get yourself taken care of soon!

This really makes me sad. I wish the powers that be would recognise just how important places like Safa Park are to many many people here. We dont need another shopping mall, we dont need another 'integrated leisure destination', we really really dont need more man made water bodies. we need more large open green spaces.

Try Organic Glow on Al Wasl Road. They are very accomodating and friendly, the only issue is there are 3 therapists so not all of you will be able to get treatments done at the same time.

Dear Paragon, It might take them a while to do the shopping because men are generally useless about things like that? He might not know where things are in the store etc etc. The spa day and pick up could be construed as a way to get you out of the house, but could also be a caring gesture from a loving husband who sees that his pregnant wife is in need of some pampering? I do not know you or your husband and so none of us can tell you for sure what is going on. However if you still have your suspicions then get rid of her. Cancel her visa and send her away. Big hugs to you xx

We are travelling to Spain and France early Aug and we got an appoitment on 16th July. I applied though VFS 2 weeks back. It was def easy to apply through Greek Embassy in Abu Dhabi, took us 4 days. VFS is a nightmare. The site says u need to apply 1 mth in advance from your travel date. I belive u can walk in and apply as VIP by paying extra, what a way to make money. No gaurantee u will get the visa quicker. Hi Shivi Are you planning to travel through Greece at all or did you just apply there because it would be faster? It sounds tempting but would there be any issues if you dont do to the country that issued you the visa at all?
