So, for those of you who use a 2.5 here, do you use a thicker one in the uk or your home country if it's colder than here? I was planning to use a 2.5 in the uk as been using a 1.5 here. Do you think my little one will be too cold in a 2.5 in the uk....

how do you know which thickness to get them? assuming they are in an airconditioned room?
Hi Mols, i bought the gro bags and a small brochure inside told me what temp and type of bag and clothing to use for bubs. The same info is available in the mothercare catalogue on the sleeping bag pages, for free. I could not find it anywhere on the internet when i starting researching which one to buy.
nams - I know, I also learnt the hard way!!
mols - each baby is different and grobags (in fact most sleeping bags) come with guidelines as to the type of bag to use in different temperatures. For our LO, I use a 1.0 bag during the day when she sleeps in light clothes such as a short sleeved onesie. The AC is set to 23 degrees. At night she sleeps in a long sleeved PJs, 2.5 tog and AC set to 22 degrees. BUT, I have to stress that I don't really trust the AC temp gauge as sometimes I have stayed in her room and have had to wear a robe and was still a bit cool. You really need to find the right balance between what your baby is comfortable with and what is not dangerous.
I vote for the grobags too. They are simply amazing.
M wish I'd known that they could be ordered online. Theres a huge difference in price :(. I got a set of 2 from toys r us for 300 bucks!
I bought brand new grobags from eBay. Much cheaper than buying here. Here is the link to the supplier I bought them from: http://myworld.ebay.com/chrisandchar1/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754
They combine shipping charges if you order more than one item : )
Thanks all for the replies, will check your suggestions out!
Kaba, thanks for letting me know, but i'm actually looking from 6-9 or 6-12 month sizes. My little one is 4 months and growing at quite a rate so she's already snug in the 0-6 month ones!
I got a grobag at 1.5 tog with 100% cotton lining with no polyester at John Lewis. I think they do an export service at their Oxford street branch but you have to delve around in their website a bit to find the details. Or you could get someone to send it out or bring it out to you as its quite light. I love the grobag and DD is just the right temperature in it.
It was £30 last year to give you an idea of price to compare to prices here

Hi
Anyone know where I can buy a 1.5tog sleeping bag? For us, the 1tog is too light and the 2.5 is too heavy now for the summer! My sister gave us a 1.5tog bag from the UK (which we find just the perfect weight), she can't for the life of her remember where from and it doesn't say on the label where its from but wondering if they sell any here.
Thanks very much.
