On the occasion of Al Hijra – or Islamic New Year – it is a dry night from 6pm on Thursday 21st September, until 7pm on Friday 22nd September.
Unfortunately, this means for those of you who had plans for Friday day-time brunching – you’re going to have to cancel.
But don’t panic just yet… As there are some wonderful, and equally as satisfying Friday evening brunches worth trying. And if we’re honest – that’s probably better, because you can enjoy your Friday day relaxing at the beach or by the pool, and then brunch the night away.
So if you have a birthday bash planned, or family members visiting you this week, not all is lost as we give you 6 Friday evening brunches in Dubai to try!
Bubbalicious at The Westin
Normally held from 12pm until 4pm on Fridays, this brunching institution – and one of Dubai’s most popular and most heavy brunches – will be held in the evening due to the Islamic New Year.
There’ll be live cooking stations, innovative mixology counters, a live band and kids entertainment. Prices start from AED 450 per adult, AED 225 for kids between 6 and 12 years old – with kids under 6 going free!

Special Late Brunch at Tribeca
Another place that’s delaying the start of their brunch to accommodate the dry night – Tribeca are inviting brunch-goers to lock their Friday evening for Tribeca’s Organic Brunch session!
Promising the start of a finger-licking-good weekend for all, you can enjoy this Friday night brunch from 7pm until 11pm. Prices start at AED 199 for soft drinks package, AED 299 for house beverages and AED 399 for bubbly.
