Blue Jade is a truly inspired restaurant; the outlay is stunning with French-Vietnamese décor and a beautiful bar area at the center of the venue and a gorgeous terrace with views of the beautiful The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, JBR gardens and the Arabian sea.
The Food
The Saigon Social evening brunch is filled with classic Vietnamese mains and street food bites in a contemporary-style perception of the classics by Blue Jade’s Chef Ta Van Houng; with creative mixtures from the talented beverage team delivering the perfect accompaniment.
We started with a varied selection of starters. The delicious Vietnamese sausage skewers, and homemade rice paper rolls filled with lobster, shiitake mushrooms, onion and a lime fish sauce were a standout. The Vietnamese national noodle soup was a perfect palate cleanser before the sharing-style main course.
My favourite dishes of the mains were the ginger lotus sea bass and the grilled marinated chicken along with pineapple seafood fried rice were delectable.
To finish off this perfect selection of Vietnamese dishes, we had a wonderful choice of fresh exotic tropical fruits, pandan sticky rice with coconut milk, and crispy banana spring rolls served with sago dip.
