I have just come off the phone with a British financial adviser based in Dubai and she is willing to come over to Doha for a day to meet me and any other potential clients, if anyone is interested.

There are financial advisers here in Qatar, but this one that I've found in Dubai strikes me as being one of the better ones - she is fully qualified (meeting all of the UK Moneysavingexpert website's tips for finding a good financial adviser [url=http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/how-to-pay-for-financial-advice...) and she appears on the radio and in newspapers regularly in Dubai, so she has a lot resting on her reputation.

This is her blog link

I am pretty cynical about most financial advisers, and my husband even more so (he works in regulation) so for me to be confident about finding a good one takes a lot!

The initial meeting would be free and would involve a 90-minute -ish review of your finances, and would be followed up by a written report. She can then work for you on a fee or commission basis, depending on the type of advice and products needed, IF you decide to go ahead with any new products or services. There won't be a hard sell, I am confident on that (I can sniff out a dodgy salesman from 50 miles away!).

I do have a slight interest in 'recruiting' you as she will only come over to see me if she has at least 2 other clients to see on the same day, so that's why I'm 'advertising' on her behalf! If you're interested in meeting her, please email me amyhinks at hotmail dot com so we can decide on a mutually suitable date (probably end of the month, or mid-April).
