check out Mina Al Arab, 5 mins past Al Hamra too. That's a lovely development with lots more open space.

Ajman Academy. Sharjah English School. Both have buses that pick up at Mistral. Some children are schooled in Dubai.

I'm considering a life there as well. But where do you send your kids to school from there? Is there a good UK programme school K-12?

Jess, we have a holiday home on Mistral. Well it started off as that but we seem to spend most of our time there as we love it so much. Big villas. Quiet and peaceful too. But lots of community spirit, get togethers and parties too. The neighbourhood is very diverse in ages from babies thru to retired couples. And people have time for each other. Many work at the airport.. RAK is further afield but does have more infrastructure around it. It's a stretch too far for some who commute daily.

I would reckon 30-45 mins when it's not busy. I'm in RAK and it's 45-60 mins.
