Thank you! lilypad, does that actually mean, in Urdu, that no money is required? I wasn't sure if the English "free" would maybe translate to "at liberty" etc. <em>edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 03/09/2014</em>

for urdu you can just write.. مفت .. as in FREE

Can help with Urdu and Hindi. Most Sri Lankan staff are literate and will understand basic words like ' Free'.

Please! :) I have stuff - small items of furniture mostly - to get rid of. It's not good enough to give to charity so I was hoping to leave it outside my gate to see if anyone wants to take it before I try and find somewhere to dump it. DH suggested sticking a sign to the wall saying something like "free - please take" in several languages. I'm not sure about using an online translator because I don't know if our word 'free' (no financial cost) will translate to have the same meaning in other languages. If ladies who speak the languages above can help I'd be very grateful. Thank you!
