Mine gets 30 aed an hour Mine is through an agency and its 30 dhs per hour. I didn't think there is any other legal way of hiring a part-time maid

Mine gets 30 aed an hour Depends: if you hire her via an agency she won't get nearly that much. She will get paid a bare minimum. The agency will keep the larger part to cover costs while making a hefty profit at the same time. Most agency's will indeed charge 30-40 AED/hr
