I always liked the Marks and Sparkle and John Lewis ads, but if I'm not living in the UK and being exposed to them all the time - I certainly don't feel inclined to go out of my way to view them, I find that odd, maybe just me? edited by hiccups on 06/12/2014

The Sainsbury ad is a beautiful story, but it seems very cheap and exploitative to me for a supermarket chain to make mileage from the memory of our national heros, many of whom did not return from one of the most devastating war battles in UK history. Not appealing to me at all. This account of history should not have been pilfered for commercial purposes. They've only used it this year as it's the 100th Anniversary, which I think is good, as the younger generation need to know their history. Somehow I doubt education was the motivation behind their use of this story when its aired over a prime consumer shopping period. Personally, I would not want my youngsters to learn about their heritage if its tarnished by the implicit association of a supermarket promotion. I know lots of people think its a great idea but I just happen to find it distasteful. edited by Di@DXB on 07/12/2014

I have to agree the Sainsbury's ad is very good. However, the Mulberry one is SO Dubai ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK0fKEvgXJo Lol, very true :)
