when is the best time to plant:

- tomato seeds
- flower seeds

also has anyone ever tried growing raspberries/blueberries here? and would this be the best time to plant them, can you do it from the seeds inside a raspberry? They need cold weather I think?

Thanks :)

Excellent time for tomatoes and flowers to be started. Tomatoes can be started indoors in the summer too and transferred to the shade outside in the summers. If you have any used coffee grinds, feed a teaspoon every couple of weeks and the tomato plant will grow really well. Last year I germinated blueberries from the store bought pack of blueberries. You should be able to do the same with raspberry, strawberries and any other seeded fruit without any problems. Blueberries did well in the winter but did not make it through the summer, Strawberries have done fine in the shade of the summer here.
